What You Can Customize
Loftia lets you customize your character’s appearance, clothing and accessories, then change your look after starting the game. Your character has no set gender, so you can customize them however you like.
Appearance Choices in the Demo
You can choose your appearance in the character creator and return to customization after entering the world. Clothing adds another layer, with starter pieces available while you create your character and more clothes to collect during play. Walk trails also appear in the in-game Customization menu.
How to Change Your Look After Starting
Clothing Rewards and Linda’s Outfit Sets
Complete City Tour to open First Stitch with Linda. Her clothing quest chain continues through A Thread of Inspiration, Our First Collection and Project Runway as you finish the preceding quests. Linda’s outfit inspiration hand-ins also give you specific crop goals for the style you want.

Choosing and Keeping Your Character Name
Choose a character name you would be happy to keep into Early Access. Your demo character’s name and collected progress carry over, so the name you choose becomes the name you start Early Access with. The demo allows one character per account, while more character slots are planned for Early Access.
To keep your reserved demo name, log into Early Access between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027. If you do not return within that window, the name becomes available to other players. Make your naming decision carefully even if you plan to experiment with your character’s appearance.
Closed Beta Clothing and Planned Early Access Options
The October 2026 demo offers only part of the outfit and customization selection planned for Early Access. More outfits, appearance options and emotes are planned as you progress further into the game. The Meadow clothing requirements below belong to the closed beta; Community Farming is planned beyond the demo.
| Clothing or Cosmetic Route | Requirement and Availability |
|---|---|
| Meadow Blouse | Closed beta: required 10 clothing fragments, earned through the Community Farm in the Hanging Gardens. |
| Meadow Shoes | Closed beta: required 5 clothing fragments, earned through the Community Farm in the Hanging Gardens. |
| Backer Boutique | Planned for Early Access: buy optional cosmetics, including outfits. These purchases do not affect gameplay. |
| Community Pass | Planned for Early Access: purchase the pass to unlock additional World Project cosmetic rewards. Completed-project pass rewards do not expire. |
