Charge at an energy station, then craft
Recharge your Loftia Battery at an Energy Station on your home island, then spend its stored charges on crafting, cooking and processing recipes. A solar panel builds up energy for refills; your personal Battery holds the charges you take back to your crafting stations.
Recharge and craft on your home island

Take the Battery Pebble gives you during the opening home-island tasks. This is your personal store of energy for crafting.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Use the solar panel already on your demo island to recharge the Battery. Available energy from the panel gives you charges to spend on your next recipe.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Select a recipe at the Project Station to check its materials and energy requirement. This lets you see whether you can afford the craft before you start.Playing this video connects to YouTube.

Craft the recipe once you have the required materials and Battery energy. The craft spends charges, leaving less energy available for your next project.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- Let the solar panel replenish while you quest or gather resources. That gives you another supply to collect when you return for a crafting session.
Keep Battery capacity and panel storage separate
| Equipment | Details |
|---|---|
| Starting Battery | Holds 5 energy charges and can be recharged at any Energy Station. |
| Battery Lv.2 | Holds 10 charges for crafting sessions and recipes with larger energy requirements. |
| Small Solar Panel | Stores up to 5 energy for recharging your Battery. |
Use the Battery's capacity to judge which recipes you can pay for, and the panel's stored energy to judge how much you can refill. If a full Battery cannot cover a recipe, work toward the Battery upgrade. If you keep emptying your available energy during crafting sessions, consider expanding your energy stations as well.
Unlock refining through Milo
Prepare the materials for a bigger Battery
At a Level 1 Project Station, craft Battery Lv.2 with your original Battery, 10 Scrap Wire and 2 Mushroom Leather. The recipe costs 3 energy, and the upgraded Battery holds 10 charges. Set aside the ingredients and enough energy for this upgrade before spending your remaining charges on optional projects.
- Gather Scrap Wire through salvaging. Keep the wire for your Battery recipe instead of spending it on another craft.
- Harvest Portobello Mushrooms with the Pruner. These provide the material you will refine into Mushroom Leather.
- Process the Portobello Mushrooms at the Refining Station. This produces the Mushroom Leather required by the Battery upgrade.
- Craft Battery Lv.2 at your Project Station once the ingredients and energy are ready. The upgrade uses your original Battery and increases the charges you can hold.
Unlock room for more energy stations
Visit Amani in Loftia City for Energy Station permits when you want to expand your power setup. You start with room for 1 Energy Station; the next permit costs 125 Dew and raises that limit to 2. Buy the placement permission before crafting an extra station so you have room to use it.
To craft a Small Solar Panel, set aside 5 Metal Scraps, 5 Scrap Wire and 5 Glass Cullets, plus 5 crafting energy. Its storage limit is 5 energy, separate from your personal Battery's capacity. Include the panel's energy cost in your plans alongside its materials, especially if you are also saving for a Battery upgrade.
Use the demo's updated solar rules
Demo Patch #1 increased solar generation during rain and at night, particularly when both conditions occur together. Use those updated rules when planning your demo crafting sessions. Check the energy available at your panel when you return to recharge, including during rainy or nighttime play.

In the closed beta, a bigger Battery opened the route to Project Station Lv.2 and a water power source. That source provided electrical power in rain or sunshine. This older progression route is separate from the demo patch's changes to solar generation.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Early Access is planned to begin on November 3, 2026, with additional World Projects that include constructing more renewable energy sources. Those are announced additions beyond the demo. For your current home-island crafting, keep using the Battery and Energy Station charging loop.
Protect the energy you leave on your island
If energy is disappearing between visits, review your island's guest permissions. Energy collection can be restricted separately, and visitors with access can use your island's energy. Set that permission to private or friends-only if you want to keep the generated supply for your own crafting.
