Start with Pebble, then change your outfit
Pebble starts The Extremely Secret Surprise after you complete Hazel's The First Sprout. Your next stop is the character Customization Menu: put on or change clothing, then return to Pebble to finish the quest and receive rewards including Adventure Shoes.
Unlock the Surprise quest
Finish The First Sprout with Hazel before checking Pebble for The Extremely Secret Surprise. If you are still working through Hazel's farming introduction, keep following that quest before returning for Pebble's welcome gift.
The Surprise quest has no additional crafting-material requirement. Its task is to dress up in the Customization Menu and speak to Pebble again, so you can leave your crafting supplies for other projects.
Complete the outfit task in the demo
- Speak to Pebble to accept The Extremely Secret Surprise. This begins his welcome-gift quest and gives you the invitation to dress up.

Open the Customization Menu to reach your outfit options. On keyboard, press Escape to open the hub, then choose Customization.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
- Put on or change clothing in Customization to carry out Pebble's dress-up request. Choose something you would enjoy wearing from your available clothes.
Speak to Pebble again to complete the quest. In the demo, this awards Adventure Shoes and unlocks the vending machine.Playing this video connects to YouTube.
Adventure Shoes and cosmetic rewards
Adventure Shoes are among the quest rewards, alongside randomized cosmetic items. Possible clothing rewards include the Pastel Jacket, Bamboo Robe, Farmhouse Shirt, Enchanted Blouse and Woodlands-themed tops. Your clothing gifts can therefore differ from another player's.
Choose your outfit from the clothes available in your own collection. There is no need to use another player's gift list as a shopping checklist; focus on carrying out Pebble's request to change clothing and return.
The demo also unlocks the vending machine when you finish this exchange. It lets you buy items from and sell items to other Loftians in your neighborhood, with prices you can set for your listings.

Completing The Extremely Secret Surprise opens the route toward Let the Pebblethon Begin, another side quest with Pebble. Finish the outfit conversation before moving on to that next quest.
