01

Link your character from the selection screen

Choose Link Your Email on Loftia's character-selection screen, attach the email associated with your intended Loftia website account, then sign in on the official website to review linked progress and available claims. Verify the email and website login before creating or connecting another account.

02

Check the account you intend to keep

Have the email address for your intended Loftia website account ready before linking. If you already use the website, check that you can sign in to that account before connecting your character. If the address or login is different from the one you expected, resolve that mismatch before creating or connecting another account.

03

Connect your email and website account

  1. Open the character-selection interface for the character you want to keep. This is where you will find the email-linking option.
  2. Choose Link Your Email. This is the option used to attach an email address to your character.
  3. Attach the email address associated with your intended Loftia website account. Check the address carefully before continuing.
  4. Sign in to your Loftia website account. You can then review linked progress and available reward claims on the official website.
04

Save the Demo Banner to your account

  1. Enter the Player Neighborhood during the demo. Reaching it for the first time unlocks the Demo Banner.
  2. Claim the Demo Banner on the official website after linking your email. This saves the reward to your account for Early Access.
05

Continue your demo character in Early Access

Your October 2026 demo progress carries into Early Access. Anything you complete or collect stays with your character, and your chosen character name carries over too. Early Access is scheduled to begin on November 3, 2026.

The demo allows one character per account. Additional character slots are planned for Early Access.

06

Keep your reserved character name

Log into Early Access between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027 to keep the character name you chose during the demo. If you do not return within that window, the reserved name can be released for other players. Set a reminder to return with your intended account; linking your email does not replace the requirement to log into Early Access.

07

Check Steam when authentication fails

  1. Open Steam if the client is closed. A closed client is one of the conditions to check when Steam authentication fails.
  2. Put Steam online if it is offline. Check the client's connection state before changing the account you are trying to use.
  3. Update Steam if the client is outdated. Retry signing in with your intended account once the client is current.
  4. Verify your intended email and website login before creating or connecting another Loftia account. Keep troubleshooting focused on the character you want to continue.

The game automatically retries temporary connection errors. The October 22 demo patch also added a reward preview to Link Your Email and fixed controller activation for that button. If the button previously failed to activate with your controller, try it again in the updated demo.

If these checks do not resolve the problem, ask for help in the questions channel on the official Loftia Discord. Explain whether the problem occurs during Steam authentication, when using Link Your Email, or when signing in on the website. Include the exact error text you see so you can describe the issue clearly.
